The Ministry for European Policy of Macedonia has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ukraine, affirming adherence to international law regarding the nation’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. This commitment was stated by the First Vice-Premier and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, during the plenary session of the Samiti of Ukraine – the South-Eastern Europe, an event organized in observance of the Day of State of Ukraine. Sali emphasized that the Russian aggression has resulted in the deprivation of political, humanitarian, military, and technical support for Ukraine.
He confirmed that Macedonia continues to provide its support through close coordination with both the European Union and Euro-Atlantic partners. Highlighting the significance of the regional gathering, Sali further stressed the vital importance of the cooperative relationship between Ukraine and the nations of South-Eastern Europe. The statement underscores Macedonia’s alignment with international consensus regarding the protection of Ukrainian sovereignty.
The continued support framework detailed by the ministry reflects the regional bloc’s unified stance on upholding the rule of law and ensuring the security of Ukraine. This ongoing engagement solidifies the strategic partnership between the nations, which views the stability of Ukraine as paramount to the entire region.
