A Zagreb resident shared a distressing account of a recent incident that significantly impacted his life. The individual and his wife had planned a trip involving the purchase of a new vehicle in Germany, for which they had successfully collected 25,000 euros. They went on a trip with friends, initially intending to enjoy the experience in Germany.
However, the planned trip took a severe turn of events near Graz. The couple was robbed in the vicinity of the city and subsequently required hospitalization. During this time, they reported being robbed again, in addition to receiving a bill from the hospital.
According to D.V., a resident of Zagreb, no assistance was provided by the embassy or other institutional bodies. Furthermore, the couple recounted an earlier confrontation on the Austrian Autobahn, near Graz. They stated that they were attacked by a group identified as Polish hooligans.
This group was reportedly part of a convoy of approximately 50 vehicles that had recently crossed the border from Slovenia. The incident escalated when the couple noticed a vehicle bearing a forged registration plate, prompting some individuals in the group to shout that the car was stolen.
