In terms of immediate human impact, 16,740 people were reported injured, while 6,462 individuals were successfully rescued. Furthermore, over 20,000 people have been displaced and housed in temporary camps. State aid has been distributed to 128,324 families across the affected regions of Venezuela.
In terms of infrastructure, the disaster resulted in the damage of 856 properties, with 190 structures reported as completely destroyed. To manage the displaced population, 107 temporary camps have been established, accommodating 20,231 residents. The seismic activity occurred on June 24th, when the country was hit by two significant earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale.
