The Skopje municipality has announced significant investment plans, rebalancing the city’s budget to accommodate several key projects. Funds totaling 166 million dinars, earmarked for new capital investments, will be entirely utilized. This rebalancing will directly support vital infrastructure improvements within the city.
A new roundabout is planned near the National Bank, aiming to enhance traffic flow at a crucial urban location. The Skopje authorities believe this will significantly improve the reasonable movement of vehicles through this important area. Simultaneously, construction will commence on two parking garages within the Klinichko center, adjacent to “Mother Teresa.”
This project anticipates providing approximately 500 new parking spaces, addressing a long-standing need for increased capacity.
The investment associated with the Klinichko center garages is estimated to be around three. Furthermore, the municipality intends to install photovoltaic panels at a local school, representing another commitment to sustainable development within Skopje. These combined initiatives demonstrate a focused effort to modernize and improve the city’s infrastructure.
