The joyful news was quickly shared across social media, and the name was chosen in honor of her deceased grandfather, the iconic rock musician Ozzy Osbourne. The baby was born on March 5th, and yesterday the parents publicly announced the happy event. In a joint Instagram post, they simply stated, “We are proud to introduce Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.” A video of the newborn while sleeping was also included.
The well-known television producer and host now has a fifth child with his wife. Together, they already have a daughter named Maple Artemis. From a previous marriage with Lisa Stelli, they have three other daughters: 13-year-old Pearl Clementine, 10-year-old Andy Rose, and 7-year-old Mini Theodora.
The couple learned of the pregnancy last year and were overjoyed by the arrival of the new family member. Ozzy emphasized that they were able to share the news of the pregnancy with his father before his passing, adding an extra emotional layer to the family’s grief. “I think it helped us in some way to not grieve so intensely, and simultaneously brought us comfort in a strange way, as if a circle was closing,” said Jack.
